Catherine's Hope Training Center

Africa has its problems...like poverty, AIDS, and orphaned children. The needs are many.  In 2005, I traveled to Kenya with a friend (on behalf of our church family) to partner with Imani Agape to help an indigenous Kenyan pastor lovingly care for over 40 orphans and give them hope and a future.

My family and I sponsored one of those children, a 12-year-old little girl by the name of Catherine. She had a hope and a dream of studying at and graduating from college when she aged out of the orphanage.

Unfortunately, her hope and dream were cut short as she did not have the means to pay for her pursuit. Regretfully, I wish I would have known so that I could have helped. If Catherine had been trained in a vocation, she possibly would have been able to pursue her dream. Instead, she married early.

Therefore, Imani Agape would like to establish a vocational training center to give the children skills on tailoring, building, welding, carpentry, and computer studies. It will be called Catherine's Hope Training Center.

They are partnering with "Tools With A Mission" from the UK, who are providing  the tools and equipment necessary for the training center. However, Imani Agape is responsible for the shipping and registering of the equipment from the UK. This will cost ₤1400 British Pounds ($1700 USD).

On behalf of Imani Agape, we are seeking small donations that will total $1700 USD for the foundation of "Catherine's Hope Training Center," so that this equipment can be shipped. Your donation will make a difference in the future of African girls and boys.

Imani Agape, Currently has 30 children in the home. It is looking forward to adding more children as the construction of more cottages is done. So we have a project on construction of more cottages. Also our children go to a government school, and we are looking forward in the development of the school through construction and providing books and other needed things. Below is the picture showing how the school looks like. It needs to be built.

Nyakorere Primary School, It is A public primary school where Voice of Hope Children school. We are looking forward in getting sponsors to help in he development of the school of for the helping of our children and as well as the community.
